The Blob!!!

For those of you who wonder what “The Blob” is,

This is Destiny and I, I will be “blobbing” her:

This is Destiny’s hand in the process of being “blobbed” (upper right hand corner):

NICE! She went really high and made a great splash!

Things are going great here in the cool valley of Brownwood!  We are having a blast at Middle School Camp.  Yesterday we had Jayci Shelton as our Recreation leader and the kids had a lot of fun since they knew their leader.  Free Time was filled with Water Trampolines, Paddle Boats and THE BLOB (The only sport where I am picked first)!  Here are some pics from Rec, Free Time and Block Party:

Pictures, pictures and more pictures.  I have them for you from yesterday and today’s camp experience which has been Out of This World!  The camp theme is “Redefined,” looking at our own faith journey and how Jesus is shaping us for the future.  During Church Group time, we have talked about how we allow Jesus to fill us and what that looks like in a practical life with Jesus.  Camp is going great and I must say that Jenny and Kaitlen are AMAZING and have done a phenominal job with the middle school students.  Enough from me, here are some pictures:

Camp has been fun and hot so far (I think Colorado spoiled me)!  The Horizon Camp staff and the Heart of texas Camp Staff have been amazing and are doing a phenominal job.  I cannot say enough about the work that they do to make camp a fun experience where our students can meet with God.

Kaitlen and Jenny are leading our small groups and doing a great job with them.  They are taking on 17 middle school girls and 4 middle school guys this week and I am so proud of the job they are doing!  I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us this week.  I ask that you pray for our group as their are some that I know need to know Jesus and I think the Holy Spirit is already working on them in the less than 24 hours that we have been here.

Well, I am off to Bible Study, so here are some pictures from Monday and this morning:

For free time today, we hiked through the Rocky Mountains.  We crossed a river swolen by the melting snow, saw Mule Deer and some huge Elk, and climbed some crazy high mountains!  I had a blast because I got to have my picture taken with all the students!  It was an amazing time in God’s creation!  Here are some of the pictures from our hike:

Camp is a blast!  We had our annual kickball tournament and the game finished 8-7.  Today we are heading out for a hike up the mountain.  The weather is amazing and the students are awesome!  It has been great to worship with each other and be challenged to grow together in Christ.  Here are some more pictures from this week:

The weather is awesome here in Colorado!  We are adjusting to the lack of oxygen, but we were still able to play some basketball today during free time.  Phillip and I aren’t as old as we thought, we can still hang with some of the younger guys, but we struggle against Kara Hughey  :)   It has been a great week so far and I am truly blessed to be ministering alongside Stacy, Phillip and Mollie and some amazing High School students!  Here are some pictures from Recreation today.

What an awesome way to celebrate the Risen Savior!

Doubt and despair were probably running through the lives of the disciples.  Their Savior, their Teacher, their King was in the tomb behind a stone and guards.  Three years of their lives down the drains, but what they didn’t know was their doubt would be extinguished on Resurrection Sunday!

Here is another great video to guide our thoughts this Easter.
